Duffy Bishop: Home
Hello All,
I am thrilled to be back in the sweet arms of Portland after such a long time away!
And even more, I am thrilled to be able to close out the 2010 Waterfront Blues Festival, Monday July 5th, 8:15 to 9:30 pm on the Front Porch Stage. I sure hope all of you will be there to help us celebrate! We are playing some new music and some choice old songs. The band and I have been working like crazy. Besides myself and Chris Carlson, we are most fortunate to have Jon Goforth and Brad Ulrich on reeds, Kelly Dunn on drums and Dean Mueller on the standup bass.
On Saturday July 17th, we will start at 8:00 pm at Halibut's on Alberta Street, and play to 11:00 pm with an intimate show of crazy luminaries.
In August we have a few exciting happenings.
On Monday August 9th we will play a set to accompany a documentary film about me at the Mission Theater. Ooh, this is scary for me! Titled "Who is Duffy Bishop, and Why Isn't She Famous?", Bryan Johnston of Seattle's KIRO TV and his group of aspiring young film makers have worked on this project for almost two years.
For those in Seattle area, we will play the Clearwater Casino on Thursday August 12th,
The Taste of Edmonds on August 13th and Chris and I will play The Peace Concert series on Sunday August 15th with the Blues Sisters.
Then a magnificent evening at Jimmy Mak's on Saturday August 21. It's been such a while since we been in town to play this wonderful supper club.
Then Friday August 27th, back for another unpredictable evening at cozy Halibuts. On September 18th we will be headlining a brand new Blues Festival outside of Walla Walla. More details on that soon.
These are our few but fabulous summer gigs, that I hope you all will attend. We have missed our Portland Family and are thankful and so happy to be back with you once again.
Love to Everyone, Duffy
